Here are some common penalties under GST:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Late Filing of GST Returns:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> If a taxpayer fails to file their GST returns within the prescribed due dates, they are liable to pay a late fee. The late fee is Rs. 100 per day per return (Rs. 50 for CGST and Rs. 50 for SGST) up to a maximum of Rs. 5,000. These situations are outlined in the GST Act and Rules.
