These taxes are,<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>GST &#8211;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0As per the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">GST Act,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the current <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cagmc.com\/gst-registration\/\">GST<\/a> that is applicable on precious metals( gold and silver) is 3%.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Wealth Tax &#8211; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As per the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wealth_Tax_Act,_1957\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wealth Tax Act<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, if you buy gold or silver for more than Rs. 30 Lakhs, you have to pay a tax of 1% of the value of gold that you buy<\/span><\/li>\n<li id=\"and\"><b>Capital Gains Tax &#8211; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you hold the commodity for more than a year you have to pay a capital gains tax on the profits that you have made from the sales of the same. Short terms capital gains tax (less than 36 months) is 10%.
