This means that a taxpayer can e-verify his return for ongoing assessment year.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"impact\" style=\"font-size: 20px !important; color: #1e82b6;\"><strong>Requirements to e- verify returns.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The requirements to e- verify returns are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li id=\"steps\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The taxpayer should have submitted the ITR for the assessment year and generated an acknowledgement in ITR-V.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Under the ITR-V, there is an acknowledgement number which help the taxpayer under e- verification.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The ITR should be submitted by the taxpayer who is not compulsorily required to use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cagmc.com\/what-is-digital-signature-certificate\/\">Digital Signature Certificate (DSC)<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The ITR should not be filed by the authorised signatory or representative assessee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"impact\" style=\"font-size: 20px !important; color: #1e82b6;\"><strong>Steps to e- verify the returns without login to e- filing portal.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>A taxpayer can e- verify the ITR by the following two methods:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>By logging into the e- filing portal and selecting the ITR submitted for e- verification.<\/li>\n<li>By using the \u2018e- verify\u2019 option provided under the \u2018quick links on the home page of e-filing portal.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Under the \u2018e- verify\u2019 option taxpayer has to enter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bankbazaar.com\/pan-card.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PAN<\/a>, assessment year and acknowledgement number from ITR-V.<\/li>\n<li>After entering these details, the following three options would be available:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>I already have an EVC to e-verify my return.<\/li>\n<li>I don\u2019t have an EVC and I would like to generate EVC to e-verify my return.<\/li>\n<li>I would like to use Aadhar OTP to e-verify my return.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>Chose any of the option and enter the OTP received by you.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">E- verification is the last step in the ITR filing process. A taxpayer has a period of 120 days. Person can e-verification of an ITR after submitting or uploading it.<\/p>\n<p>A taxpayer can generate EVC through any of the following modes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>EVC through Net banking facility.<\/li>\n<li>EVC through bank account number.<\/li>\n<li>EVC through demat account number.<\/li>\n<li>EVC through your bank ATM.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Content How to e- verify the returns without login to e- filing portal?
