The reporting through FIRMS has been divided into two phases:-<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first phase is to create an Entity Master Form wherein the Indian Entities are required to authorize one person through the authority letter in accordance with the prescribed format given by the RBI under the User Manual for creation of Entity Master. The authorized person shall only be authorized to update the foreign investment details.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For creation of Entity Master Form following are the documents required to be attached:-<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In case of Indian Entities (Companies, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cagmc.com\/llp-registration\/\">LLPs<\/a> etc.) Board Resolution in favor of the <\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">authorized person;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PAN of the authorized person;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Authorized Letter as per the prescribed format.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Following process is to be followed for creation of Entity Master:-<\/span><\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Login to https:\/\/firms.rbi.org.in\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click on the Registration Form for New Entity User<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A pop up box will appear showing Entity User Registration form<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-11675 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cagmc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_26.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"904\" height=\"459\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cagmc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_26.png 904w, https:\/\/www.cagmc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_26-300x152.png 300w, https:\/\/www.cagmc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_26-768x390.png 768w, https:\/\/www.cagmc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_26-615x312.png 615w, https:\/\/www.cagmc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_26-400x203.png 400w, https:\/\/www.cagmc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_26-292x148.png 292w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 904px) 100vw, 904px\" \/><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The user is now required to fill the field description in the Entity User Form;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now the next step is to submit the said form with RBI where the RBI will ensure and verify the details;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When the user ID is created a pop message appears displaying &#8220;Record Saved Successfully&#8221;.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After the above procedure the authority letter is then verified by the RBI and if the same gets approved the user receives a password on its registered email address.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This password can be later on changed by the user after successful login.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In case the user does not receive any mail notification for approval\/rejection of the registration within the next 48 hrs, he\/she may contact by e-mail.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Entity Master is the Master data of the reporting entity depicting the total foreign investment received by the Entity throughout its life time.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The second phase it to create the Business User which permits the user to report the transaction of foreign investment received at a time. Here, the user files various forms depending upon its criteria like FCGPR, <a href=\"https:\/\/taxguru.in\/rbi\/foreign-currency-transfer-shares-fc-trs-points-remember.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FCTRS<\/a>, Form DI etc. The effect of this reporting can be seen on the Entity Master.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For creation of Business User following are the documents required to be attached:-<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Authorization Letter as per the format prescribed;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">KYC of the non- resident investor;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Details of the Banking Branch<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Following process is to be followed for creation of Business User:-<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Login to https:\/\/firms.rbi.org.in\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click on the Registration Form for Business User Form<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fill the details in the pop up appearing showing the Business User Registration Form;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-11677 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cagmc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_27.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"845\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cagmc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_27.png 845w, https:\/\/www.cagmc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_27-300x160.png 300w, https:\/\/www.cagmc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_27-768x409.png 768w, https:\/\/www.cagmc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_27-615x328.png 615w, https:\/\/www.cagmc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_27-400x213.png 400w, https:\/\/www.cagmc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_27-292x156.png 292w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 845px) 100vw, 845px\" \/><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click on the Submit button when complete details have been entered.
